The Art Displaced: Neighborhood Natives project marks the first collaboration between the Ananda Center, the Downtown Massillon Association and Massillon Main Street.

Once a month, in an otherwise empty storefront the Ananda Center will present the work of one Massillon Artist. The Art will be for sale, the food provided by local vendors, and live entertainment by local musicians/performers. This will be a Saturday night out on the town! Come and see fine art, taste Massillon's best food, and enjoy the local entertainers. Each show in the Downtown area and open to the public.  This is a fun, safe, social event free to the public, appealing to all demographics and unique to Massillon! Hope to see you there.

These monthly one-night-only art exhibits provide a commercial venue for both established and up and coming artists and performers using Massillon's available real estate. This is a proactive method of bringing art to the people and aiding local building owners in renting units. Instead of avoiding unused commercial and residential properties, we draw attention   to the potential of such spaces with a fun, safe, social event free to the public, appealing to all demographics and unique to Massillon. It is our hope that this will encourage art behavior and stimulate local commerce. This project will provide a commercial venue for both established and up and coming artists and performers while showcasing unoccupied   properties in the downtown Massillon area and stimulating local commerce. The project    itself serves the community and its proprietors through the arts showing how they are beneficial to the local economy in a time where support for the arts is struggling.
